Strategically located at the centre of England, it is a gateway economy between the Midlands and South East, and a central component of the Milton Keynes South Midlands growth strategy.

Northampton has already attracted significant investment, and over the next fifteen years will be transformed from a market town to a prosperous and dynamic regional city, with a growing knowledge economy. This creates a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the delivery of one of the most significant growth and regeneration programmes currently being undertaken in the UK, enabling Northampton's transformation along with significant development in the neighbouring market towns of Daventry and Towcester.

Director of Implementation and Delivery

We are now looking for an outstanding Director of Implementation and Delivery to lead on the preparation, coordination, financial management and effective delivery of a programme of town centre regeneration projects, infrastructure improvements and development projects - working collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders to build confidence around delivery. To put it simply, it's time for us to get down to business and the message from me is clear; we want you to have a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on delivery.

As a key member of our Executive Team, your remit will be the delivery of new homes and infrastructure, with the highest standards in quality and design. More importantly, you will ensure new and existing communities are supported by jobs, skills, investment and regeneration.

Despite the complexity of the task, the scale of our ambition is high, and our optimism for success is real. We are perfectly placed in terms of resources, relationships and influence, to bring about change quickly and effectively. The Government's Quinquennial Review of all Development Corporations, recognised our success to date and they have committed their support to WNDC for at least another four years. Notwithstanding our achievements to date, there is some way to go, so this is an exciting time for you to help us make the required step change.

Head of Communications and Marketing

We are also looking for an exceptional candidate to lead all of the Corporation's internal and external communications. As a member of the Executive Team you will play a key role in the development of the Corporation's overall corporate strategy. You will need a strong track record at a senior level in media relations, stakeholder communications and marketing, as well as experience in brand development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage at a high level with the private and public sectors are essential.
